A plastic invasion
More than 120 billion units of cosmetic packaging are being produced globally every year. Most of the packaging being produced comes in plastic, which takes 500+ years to decompose. Single use plastics are environmental toxins.
Less than 10% of plastic ever created has been recycled. Most live on in landfill, waterways, and soil. As these plastics breaks down, they become micro plastics.
Double the trouble
During the last 15 years, as we have become more environmentally aware, brands have produced half the world's plastic waste.
While the solutions are obvious and readably implementable, industries like the personal care brands have refused to make the simple switch from bottling in plastic to better solutions.
